Dos Equis' Most Interesting Man in the World is back in action after a decade away.
To celebrate the return of their beloved advertising figure, portrayed by actor Jonathan Goldsmith, the beer brand hosted an epic Sailgate in Miami ahead of the College Football National Championship between the Indiana University Hoosiers and the University of Miami Hurricanes on Monday, Jan. 19.
“Being able to serve as The Most Interesting Man for Dos Equis has been the opportunity of a lifetime," Goldsmith tells PEOPLE. "Never did I imagine how this campaign would become a cultural mainstay, and I’m thrilled to be able to usher in this next chapter of The Most Interesting Man once again."
On the boat, Goldsmith was joined by stars like Tom Brady and husband-and-wife duo Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union, as well as mentalist Oz Pearlman and pro fencer Miles Chamley-Watson.
"This Sailgate was a true representation of what life as The Most Interesting Man is like and was the perfect way to celebrate my return with friends over at Dos Equis," Goldsmith says. "Interesting moments and experiences have a way of bringing people together, so this unique celebration really invited people into that world and hopefully left them with a story worth telling just like The Most Interesting Man. I hope my return inspires this new generation of beer drinkers to always ‘Stay Thirsty' and seek unique and interesting experiences just as The Most Interesting Man would.”
While chatting with PEOPLE on the deck of the boat, Union, 53, described herself as a proud "beer drinker."
"I'm from the Midwest — we drink beer," she says. "I remember the first time I was offered a Dos Equis, and it sounded very fancy. I became a fan on the spot."

The Sailgate was just one highlight of Wade's weeklong 44th birthday celebrations, which Union says also included hitting up Miami hotspots like Yamashiro, Dante's HiFi and Las' Lap.
"It was fun," Union says. "And then Tom Brady's here. Tom is [Dwyane's] GOAT in the NFL. Every time he gets to see Tom, it's a great day. So, I delivered. There's a party at the end of this week for the rest of the crew."
Wade retired from the NBA in 2019, and he and Union now live in Los Angeles full-time. Still, Union says Miami will always have a special place in their hearts after Wade's 14 seasons playing with the Miami Heat.
"We come back probably four or five times a year," she says. "Every time we come back, it just feels like we're back home. I'll be like driving to our house like, 'Oh wait, we don't live here anymore.' But it's great because we get to see all of our friends and the kids see their friends and old teachers. You just kind of fall back into your old life."
At the conclusion of the Sailgate, guests continued on to the game, where the Hoosiers went on to beat the Hurricanes 27-21.
During the game broadcast, Dos Equis debuted their new commercial with the Most Interesting Man. After a bout of amnesia turns his life ordinary, he's reminded of his former glory upon spotting a bottle of Dos Equis in the back of his fridge.
"Stepping back into this role — first as the 'Least Most Interesting Man' — felt like the perfect way to build intrigue using the most iconic parts of the character," Goldsmith says.
Now that The Most Interesting Man has officially returned, fans can expect to see more of him and his signature "Stay Thirsty" line in 2026.
