A surf-inspired clothing brand famous for its dimly-lit stores that blast music loudly from locations inside indoor shopping malls is expanding into home and decor, and it's doing it with a little bit of help from a retail friend.

You'll soon see pop-ups and merchandise from Abercrombie & Fitch's brand Hollister Co. in Target stores.

You'll be seeing the "Hollister Collection," as the collaboration will be called, at most Target stores and at select Hollister locations.

KTLA's David Lazarus points out that Hollister has been a bit of an underused brand by Abercrombie & Fitch, and there's headroom for growth with collaborations like this one.

Although Hollister Co. was founded in 2000 in Ohio, Abercrombie & Fitch created a fictitious history surrounding the brand that claims it was founded in 1922 in Hollister, California.
