Warning: This post contains spoilers for Tell Me Lies season 3.
The identity of Bree's secret caller has finally been revealed in Tell Me Lies
Fans have been wondering since season 2 who is on the other end of the phone, calling Bree (Cat Missal) incessantly ahead of her wedding to Evan (Branden Cook)
The revelation, which came in the Jan. 20 episode of season 3, is "juicy," the cast tells PEOPLE — and sets the stage for more fun
The twisted web that is Tell Me Lies just got even more tangled.
The Jan. 20 episode of the hit Hulu drama finally gave fans a long-awaited answer as the identity of Bree's secret caller was revealed. While it's not entirely clear how things get to this point, Wrigley (Spencer House) is the person who has been calling Bree (Cat Missal) on the day of her wedding to Evan (Branden Cook).
"It was a shock for everybody," Missal tells PEOPLE of the major reveal as she breaks down how she found out.
"When we did the phone call scene in season 2, I had no idea who was on the other end of the line. So I did the scene just playing it to a made-up version of the show, where who knows, maybe it's Oliver? It could be Marianne, could be someone new," she says, referring to Tom Ellis' character, who Bree was romantically involved with in season 2, and his onscreen wife, one of Bree's professors.

Missal remembers "going over theories" about the show with her castmates one night and speculating that there could be something between Bree and Wrigley with House.
"We were talking like, 'Could it be Wrigley?' And I remember we went up to [creator] Meaghan [Oppenheimer], we were like, 'Hey, if this is going to be a thing, what's the deal?' " Missal says. "And she was like, 'Oh no. No, definitely [not].' "
House, though, tells PEOPLE he's known since the beginning of the show in 2022 that a romance was to come for his character and Bree. "I was privy to where it was going to go," he says, "for most of it."
"Go look at the first line of the show, is what I tell everyone," he says. "Look at my first line in the show."
(The first time fans saw Wrigley in the pilot, he approached Bree from behind at their welcome party and told Evan, "I'm stealing your wife.")

As for what the reveal means for Evan, who has been in love with Bree since they dated in season 1, Cook says, "It was like, 'Oh, great, here we go.' "
"But no, it's fun," he tells PEOPLE. "I mean, it's interesting. It's juicy. It was a lot of fun to play."
Things get even "more fun" down the line, he teases, and House agrees. "Yeah, the end's really fun — especially for Branden."

The revelation that Wrigley is Bree's secret caller also affects Pippa (Sonia Mena), as it involves her best friend and her boyfriend.
"I was like, 'Okay, sure.' At some point, we've all got to kiss each other on this show," Mena tells PEOPLE of her reaction to the reveal.
"I was like, 'Really?' And then I thought about it, and I was like, 'It's like you've got to spin the roulette wheel and see who ends up together.' "
New episodes of Tell Me Lies drop Tuesdays on Hulu.
