The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 17 taglines are here, and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look

The new season’s trailer hints at explosive feuds, including clashes between Drew Sidora and K. Michelle

Porsha Williams, Pinky Cole and K. Michelle also open up about their personal lives and careers as emotions run high

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is unveiling its brand-new taglines.

Days after season 17 premiered on Bravo, the cast is setting the tone with a fresh round of taglines that hint at big personalities, bigger power plays and no shortage of drama.

Porsha Williams declares, “I’ve lived many lives, and all of them have been fabulous,” while Drew Sidora makes her stance clear: “If you cast me in your drama, I only accept leading roles.”

Shamea Morton Mwangi signals a shift, sharing, “I’ve been loyal to a fault, and now I’m ready to have my own back,” as newcomer Kelli Ferrell serves confidence with a side of humor: “I’m short, seasoned and always a full-course meal.”

Angela Oakley brings a competitive edge with, “In a field of players, I always run it back,” while returning favorite Phaedra Parks leans into her legacy: “In a world of legends, they call me the Godfather.”

Entrepreneur Pinky Cole keeps things on brand — and unbothered — saying, “While they’re busy beefing, I stay vegan." K. Michelle closes out the lineup with a mic-drop moment: “I don’t need any background singers; it’s always my show.”

This season’s teaser, released in February, kicks off with Drew narrating the story of “a group of beautiful dolls” living in Atlanta who “really tried to be good,” before adding, “But spilling tea is their favorite game.”

“And when the tea is poured, that’s when the dolls come alive,” she continues.

From the start, tensions are already simmering. The newcomers quickly voice skepticism about Phaedra, a longtime attorney, with K. Michelle claiming, “I trust no lawyer that don’t practice the law,” and Pinky adding, “I don’t trust no lawyer that eat dead people.”

Meanwhile, Porsha finds herself navigating a complicated new chapter in her personal life after finalizing her divorce.

“I didn’t expect God to send a 6’5” tall man with big arms and tattoos,” she says, before introducing her now-girlfriend Patrice “Sway” McKinney to the group — setting up a surprising love triangle.

K. Michelle also opens up about the pressures of her music career. “I’m on the biggest country music label, and I don’t think people understand that pressure being the only Black woman,” she explains.

Pinky, for her part, reflects on her business success with Slutty Vegan. “I’m one of the most powerful entrepreneurs in America,” she says. “I built this $100 million brand. Behind every great man, there’s an even better woman.”

But not everything is glamorous. Shamea shares her desire for financial independence in a conversation with her husband, Kelli reflects on the moment she “took my last $50,000 and bet on myself” to build her empire, and Angela breaks down in tears, admitting, “It’s truly the hardest year of my life."

Season 17 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams on Peacock.
