Rick Domeier is embarking on a new path at the end of this year.
The longtime QVC host announced on the Thursday, July 30 episode of Rick St. Nick, his Christmas in July special, that he will be retiring in December. Domeier, 65, has been at QVC since 1994.
He shared the news after he announced another exciting update. “They’re giving me a new miniseries, it’s called Rick Hits the Road,” he said.
Domeier promised the miniseries will be “absolutely fantastic.”
Fellow QVC host Mary Beth Roe joined him for the announcements, and after he revealed his new show, she reminded him he had another bit of news to share.
“In the spirit of the hits the road theme, I’m going down a different road. It’s a new road — I’ve never been,” Domeier said. “It’s called retirement road.”
“At the end of the year, I will be retiring from QVC. I’ll be saying goodbye,” he shared.

The decision was a joint one made with his wife, Amy, he said. “I had a long chat with my wife, Amy. We both decided that it’s time to go down retirement road, while most of this engine is still working.”
He won’t be saying goodbye until December, which he said will “give me an opportunity to say thanks to these people, to all these people,” as many of his colleagues joined him on-camera with signs celebrating his announcement.
“We’ve got five months to go, let’s have some fun. Let’s hit the road,” Domeier said. “I’m not done yet! I’m still here!”
