The British royal family stepped out in style for Trooping the Colour 2026
Kate Middleton wore baby blue for the occasion, and her sons, Prince George and Prince Louis matched her with ties of the same shade
Princess Charlotte also matched her family, with subtle detailing on her white dress
Kate Middleton and her kids were subtly coordinated for Trooping the Colour 2026.
The Princess of Wales, 44, and her three children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, 8 — took center stage during the annual event celebrating King Charles' birthday. Princess Kate and her children rode in a carriage together during the parade while Prince William rode horseback in his military regalia alongside Prince Edward and Princess Anne.
For this year's event, Princess Kate chose a pale blue Catherine Walker look, topped with a coordinating Philip Treacy hat. Her sons matched her in dark blue suits with pale blue ties.

Princess Charlotte also matched with her mother and brothers, although slightly more subtly. Her white dress included light blue detailing, coordinating with the family's colors for the day.
The young princess also matched with her mother in the details. Both Kate and Charlotte donned a three-string pearl bracelet for the royal occasion, and they also appeared to wear matching pale pink nail polish.

Princess Kate has made a point to coordinate outfits with her only daughter since some of Charlotte's very first public appearances, and past Trooping the Colour events have provided some of their best matching moments.
Last year, the Princess of Wales and her daughter wore similar shades of aqua blue, with Kate in a wool dress coat with ivory lapels by Catherine Walker and a matching wide-brimmed hat by Juliette Botterill, and Charlotte in a paler shade dress with an ivory waistband.

The year prior, the mother-daughter duo opted for nautical-inspired black-and-white ensembles that coordinated right down to the bows on their necklines.
Kate's white Jenny Packham dress had black trimming, while Charlotte wore a black dress with white trimming.

Royal historian Amanda Foreman previously spoke with PEOPLE about how Princess Kate's return to Trooping events was a major step forward in returning to royal life after announcing she was in remission from cancer last January: "She is the MVP of the royal family."
Ailsa Anderson, former press secretary to the late Queen Elizabeth, agreed, telling PEOPLE, "Fast-forward, and what a difference a year makes. She's even more beloved in the nation's hearts than she was."
