Offset has been released from the hospital days after he was shot outside a casino in Florida — and is speaking out to tell the world he’s “good.”
The rapper, 34, was hospitalized in stable condition on Monday, April 6 after he was shot at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Seminole, Fla.
On Friday, April 10, a spokesperson for the star confirmed that he’d been released from the hospital and was “up and walking.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to the doctors, nurses, and the entire hospital staff who took such great care of him,” the spokesperson said in a statement to PEOPLE.
The star addressed the incident in an Instagram statement in which he thanked people for their support and said he was focused on returning to life as normal. He is a father to six children, including three with estranged wife Cardi B.
“Thank you to everyone who’s checked in on me and showed me love! I’m good….but I’m planning to be better!” he wrote on April 10. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music… realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses…”
He concluded by writing, “Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win,” and singing the note “$ET.”

The Seminole Police Department told PEOPLE in a statement that rapper Lil Tjay (né Tione Jayden Merritt) was arrested on April 6 in connection with the casino incident, and booked on suspicion of misdemeanor disorderly conduct-affray. He was released on bond from the Broward County Jail the next day.
"One person has been charged in connection with the incident that took place Monday night at a valet area outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. Tione Jayden Merritt has been charged with disorderly conduct-affray, a first-degree misdemeanor under Florida Statute 870.01. The incident began with an affray, or fight. Merritt was booked into the Broward County Jail late last night," the statement read.
Police said a second person detained at the scene was not charged, and authorities are working to identify one or more additional people involved in the incident.
Lil Tjay's lawyer Dawn Florio issued a statement on Instagram to deny "false rumors that Lil Tjay was involved" in the shooting and wrote, "Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting. Any reporting to the contrary is false."
