Kansas City Chiefs' Esa Pole announced his engagement on Instagram on June 17

Another Kansas City Chiefs player has gotten engaged this offseason!

Chiefs offensive tackle Esa Pole, 24, announced his engagement to his fiancée, Mereosi, in a joint Instagram post on Wednesday, June 17, just one week after Chiefs center Creed Humphrey announced his engagement and less than a month after Chiefs defensive end Ashton Gillotte got married.

"God wrote our love story long before we met❤️💍," Mereosi wrote. "1 Corinthians 13:4-8 Here's to a lifetime with you my love♾️."

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 is a biblical passage about the nature of love: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away."

Pole and Mereosi shared 13 photos from the romantic outdoor proposal, which took place in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. A pathway of red rose petals led toward a heart-shaped floral arch made of deep red flowers with white candles at the base. Hanging in the center of the elegant display was a glowing sign that read, "Will You Marry Me?" On either side of the centerpiece were even more candles and red floral arrangements on stands.

The NFL player popped the question on bended knee, presenting Mereosi with a pear-shaped diamond ring. He also gave her a bouquet of red roses decorated with a black ribbon with white lettering that read, "Mr. And Mrs. Pole."

"Congrats!!" Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes commented.

Humphrey wrote, "Congrats brother!"

It's unclear how long Pole, who is entering his second season with the Chiefs this year, has been dating Mereosi as they have kept their relationship mostly private.

Love is in the air for Chiefs players, as tight end Travis Kelce is expected to tie the knot with Taylor Swift this summer. The couple announced their engagement last August.
