Ex-Cardinals standout receiver joins Power 4 college coaching staff

Former Arizona Cardinals All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is transitioning from the NFL to Georgia Tech football's coaching staff.
CBS Sports reported on Friday, July 31, that Hopkins will be the Yellow Jackets' wide receivers coach.
Hopkins, 34, last played for the Baltimore Ravens on a one-year deal in 2025 and was briefly part of the New England Patriots' coaching staff during the team's first week of training camp.

“It was a great experience for all of us,” Patriots coach Mike Vrabel said about Hopkins on July 30. “That’s what we try to do when we have some of these unique situations where a player — or former player or whatever it might be — wants to come in and help and learn, and they love football, and I think it was good for everybody.”
Hopkins, who's played 13 NFL seasons with five Pro Bowl selections, will reunite with Georgia Tech offensive coordinator George Godsey. Godsey was the OC of Hopkins' first NFL team, the Houston Texans, from 2015-16, and was the Ravens tight ends coach last year when Hopkins was on the roster.
