*There are triple threats, and then there's Teyana Taylor.*

*Taylor's banner year included co-starring in the Tyler Perry crime drama film *Straw*, as well as arguably the most talked-about television show, in Ryan Murphy's legal series *All's Fair*. But it was her electric turn as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson's *One Battle After Another* that really got tongues wagging.*

*Buoyed by rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, the film has since turned into this awards season's juggernaut, with Taylor's deeply physical, raw, and emotionally improvisational performance receiving a lion's share of the praise.*

*The season only just started, and Taylor has already netted a slew of honors (including a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics Choice Awards, and a win from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association), and just this week she got her first Golden Globe nomination in the same category.*

*As if all of that wasn't enough, her fourth studio album, *Escape Room*, which was released in August, recently nabbed a Grammy nomination for Best R&B album.*

*To cap it all off, ** is naming Taylor one of our Entertainers of the Year, and who better to celebrate than her *One Battle After Another* daughter, Chase Infiniti. Ahead, Infiniti — herself a 2025 phenom and fellow Golden Globes and Critics Choice nominee, among others — pays tribute to Taylor.*

Teyana Taylor. That name alone. Since the moment she came onto the scene, she is always doing something new, always challenging herself and her creativity, because she is capable of so much. She never stops working, and everything she has done is so admirable. Teyana is the ultimate entertainer; she can do anything and everything.

One of the beautiful things she does in One Battle After Another with Perfidia is her strong command of the screen and her presence – same thing when she’s performing on stage. She is so creative in this role, and that's why you feel her throughout the film, even when she’s not there.

As an actor, Teyana makes choices with incredible confidence and is quick on her feet – I will never forget seeing that in dailies or from afar on set, soaking in everything about how she operates because I hope to someday achieve even a fraction of what she’s able to do. In life, like Perfidia, she’s unapologetically herself, which she urged me to be on our press tour. As she says, “Stand 10 toes down.” It’s a life lesson I’ll always carry with me. I feel so grateful that I got to spend that time with her since we didn’t have any scenes together, unfortunately, but being in her presence, you quickly see how incredibly passionate she is about her work. She is truly the perfect example of somebody who is incredible at their craft, but never stops learning and never stops asking questions. I was just in awe because seeing somebody at her level, of her caliber, with her magnitude of talent, say, “I'm a student and I'm always learning,” and truly mean it, and also lead with so much kindness, was incredible.

Teyana, by the way, is also a jokester and she can always make everyone in the room laugh, but especially me. And when the two of us did interviews in London, we laughed all day — a day that was extra special and that I will never forget.

Teyana Taylor is the moment. I’m not going to say she’s “in her prime” because there’s so much more to come from her – she’s going to continue to grow into more greatness and inspire millions of people who look up to her from all walks of life. She is an icon, she is the girl, she is in her time, and she is relishing in it, and I'm so proud and so happy for her because it is all completely well deserved.
