Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews described Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding as “magical” and a star-studded celebration

The Calm Down podcast co-hosts recalled a few memorable moments from the ceremony held at Madison Square Garden on July 3

They praised the couple’s love story and their ability to unite people from different parts of their lives

Charissa Thompson is reflecting on the “magical” day her friends, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, tied the knot.

The Fox Sports commentator, 44, opened up on her Calm Down podcast with co-host Erin Andrews about the star-studded ceremony, which took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3.

“Congrats to both of them. It was magical,” Thompson said of the “royal wedding” on the Thursday, July 30 installment of her podcast. “I will just leave it at this. It was magical... maybe there’s some subliminal part of seeing them get married that makes me want to have a version adjacent to marriage and the commitment ceremony.”

“Watching them get married... when you find your person, everything else in the world is right,” she continued. “And that to me, that night, that weekend really was a reminder that you can have everything in the world, but if you don’t have the person to share it with, then it’s not worth anything.”

“So congratulations to both of them. Thank you for including us in your special weekend,” Thompson added, noting she and Andrews “love” Swift and Kelce “so much.”

Andrews, 48, doubled down on her co-host’s sentiment.

“Like you said, ‘magical’,” she shared of the wedding. “That’s like the one word you can use... I had a great time.”

The sports broadcasters then praised the newlyweds for their circle of friends.

“Independent of the actual nuptials, I appreciate them getting everyone together,” Thompson said. “It was so fun to see our friends in the same place... our people, we all got to be together. Our fun lobby hangs and all the things that we did as a group.”

Andrews shared, “I was so excited to meet people in both of their lives that we’ve heard about and we haven’t met before. I thought that was so exciting. Everybody was just so lovely and fun.”

Thompson and Andrews have been friends with Swift and Kelce, both 36, for years. They vacationed together in Montana in the 2025 offseason, celebrated the opening of the Chiefs star’s 1587 Prime steakhouse opening in September, and always speak highly of them in interviews and on their podcast.

In May, Thompson told PEOPLE that her boyfriend, Steve Cundari, “should love me more” after seeing the NFL star and pop singer’s relationship. “They love each other so much and it’s so beautiful to see,” she said.

“It’s just been fun watching their love story from afar and upfront,” continued the Thursday Night Football host. “And I always say to my boyfriend after we see them, I’m like, ‘You should love me more.’ Because they love each other so much and it’s so beautiful to see and just I love seeing both of them happy.”
